Buying Audio & video: define the specification

For Audio & video, prepare the intended use, specifications, quantity, packaging and destination before comparing quotations. Key checks for this product family include BOM revisions, component provenance, firmware rights and radio functions. Confirm applicability for the exact model and use case.

Supply-chain stages to verify

• Chipsets, modules, PCBs, housings and connectors
• SMT, firmware configuration and assembly
• Functional tests, burn-in, serial numbers and packing

Agree on sample revisions, inspection scope, packaging, delivery milestones and fees. Check that supplier documents cover the intended product and destination; a regional listing is not a guarantee of an individual supplier’s credentials or capacity.
